Soldiers of Christ PDF Print E-mail

The Soldiers of Christ movement was formed by the union of AmaVoluntiya (The Volunteers) from American Board and Amadodana from CUSA shortly after the formation of the UCCSA. Our first constitution was drafted by the movement's first president Rev. B K Dludla and our Church's firts General Secretary the late Rev. Joe Wing.

The movement's members are identifiable by khaki jackets, cream with waist coat with navy blue trimmings, white shirts, black ties, black shoes and black socks for male members. The females wear khaki jackets, kahki hat, white shirts, black ties, black skirts, black stockings and black shoes. All the members wear circular Soldiers of Christ badge on the left para sternal area. The name Soldiers of Christ relfects our deep conviction that Christ is the Lord and Commander in Chief of spiritual army. This name furhter pronounces that we are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ becaue it is power.

The Soldiers have over the years ministered in song, prayer and revivals to our different Churches and in response to various societal needs. In addition the movement has visibly repsonded to the UCCSA them which asserts that 'We show our faith  by what we do' by aiding in building local churches, and in other Synods e.g. Botswana did church planting.

The movement continues to grow and to challenge its members to carry their own crosses in service to Christ.
